A replacement vehicle without paying the hire cost upfront.

Credit hire can provide an eligible non-fault driver with a temporary replacement vehicle while their own vehicle is unavailable following an accident.

Rather than paying the hire charges upfront, the cost is generally pursued from the at-fault driver’s insurer as part of the claim.

Eligibility depends on the individual circumstances of the accident and claim. Our team will assess your circumstances before any credit hire agreement is entered into.

Credit hire is subject to eligibility and the circumstances of your individual claim. We’ll explain the relevant terms before you decide whether to proceed.

Helping minimise disruption after an accident.

Being without your vehicle can quickly disrupt everyday life. Where credit hire is suitable, we’ll work to get you mobile again.

Where appropriate, we’ll aim to provide a replacement vehicle suitable for your requirements and comparable to the vehicle you’ve been left without.

02

No upfront hire payment.

For eligible claims, you don’t pay the vehicle hire charges upfront. Recovery of those charges is pursued as part of the claim.

There should be reasonable grounds for holding another party responsible for the accident.

Credit hire is different from a courtesy car.

Credit hire is provided under a credit agreement. The hire charges are deferred rather than paid by you at the start of the hire, and recovery of those charges is normally sought from the at-fault party’s insurer.

Before entering into an agreement, we’ll explain the relevant terms, your responsibilities and how the recovery process works so that you can make an informed decision.
